PANCAKES

Ingredients:-

  • 225gms. Andrews Plain Flour
  • 25gms. Caster Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • ½Teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda
  • ½Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 250mls. Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil

Sift the dry ingredients together into a mixing bowl. Break the egg and add along with half the milk to the centre of the ingredients and mix to a smooth batter.
Gradually beat in the milk with the remaining oil.
Heat a griddle or heavy frying pan and grease lightly. Pour tablespoons of the batter onto the hot surface and cook until the top is blistered. Turn and cook until the underside is golden brown.
