SAVOURY SODA BREAD
Ingredients:-
- 450gms. Ormo Plain Flour
- 100gms. Chopped Cooked Ham
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1½ Teaspoons Bicarbonate of Soda
- ½ Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Mixed Herbs
- 300mls. Milk
Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda, cream of tartar and salt into a bowl.
Add the herbs and ham and mix well.
Add the milk and mix to a smooth dough.
Knead lightly on a floured board and shape into a round about 5cms. thick.
Place on a greased baking tray and the top into four sections with a knife.
Bake in a hot oven (220°C Gas Mark 7) for 35 minutes.
Cool on a wire rack.
